The Background

A well-established Australian food and beverage brand, recognised in households since the 1980s, had built its distribution primarily through supermarkets and retail partners. Their website existed, but it only sold merchandise. Their products, the ones consumers used daily, were not available to buy online.

The goal is to convert their existing website into a fully functioning e-commerce platform and drive meaningful sales from day one.

The challenge: how do they sell and manage at everything at the same time?

We started with looking beyond the challenge and define our goal: utilise the existing e-commerce website to boost online sales.

What We Did

Through a Comprehensive Digital Audit, we looked what the data suggests. We looked into social performance, analysed past and recent messages from consumers, website performance, customer journeys and even competitors.

Data shows that majority of our audiences are shifting to online shopping for their needs, and with the brand being a part of their daily lives, it was imperative that we meet them where they are.

From that audit, we built a 360 marketing strategy covering launch through to post-launch. The objective was clear: make existing customers aware they could now order products directly, bring them to the website, and give them a reason to buy. The strategy combined paid advertising, organic content, and offline event activations working together rather than in isolation.

The Results within four months from launch:

  • Online sales grew by 276%

  • Net sales increased by 295%

  • Products sold rose by 235%

  • Orders increased by 91%

For a brand that had never sold its core products online before, these results represented a significant commercial milestone and validated that the audience was ready. They simply needed to be met where they already were.

This project was led by our founding team prior to Virtuali's formal launch.
